Remove Intimate Images Shared Without Consent

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Version: 2026-10-15

Arship does not allow intimate or sexual images of anyone to be shared without that person's consent, and does not allow any sexual content involving a minor. This page explains how to ask us to remove that kind of content, including images that are real, edited, or generated by AI. This process follows the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act.

You do not need an Arship account to make a request. If the image shows you, you can ask us to remove it. Someone authorized to act for you, such as a parent, guardian, or lawyer, can also ask on your behalf.

If a child is in danger or the image shows a minor: contact local law enforcement and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678. NCMEC's free Take It Down service can also help stop images of minors from spreading on participating platforms. Then email us as described below so we can remove it from Arship too. We report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC as the law requires.

1. How to Send a Removal Request

Email us at the address below. Please use this subject line so your request goes to the front of the queue:

Email: support@arship.app
Subject: TAKE IT DOWN Request
For a minor, use: TAKE IT DOWN Request - Minor

If you use Arship, you can also report the content in the app: press and hold the message, or tap the flag icon on the recording or profile, and choose Intimate or sexual image of me (or Child safety). An in-app report reaches the same team. An email that includes the items in section 2 is the formal request this page describes.

2. What to Include

Please include as much of the following as you can. These are the items the law asks for, and they help us find the content quickly.

  1. Your signature. Typing your full name at the end of the email counts as an electronic signature. If you are sending for someone else, tell us your name and how you are authorized to act for them.
  2. Where the content is. Anything that helps us find it on Arship: the team or church name, the name of the person who posted it, roughly when it was posted, and whether it was a chat message, a photo, a recording, or a profile picture. You do not need to send us the image itself, and please don't.
  3. A short statement that you believe in good faith that the image is an intimate image of you (or of the person you represent) and that it was shared without consent. If it was shared with consent at first and that consent was later withdrawn, or it was made with editing or AI, you can say so.
  4. How to reach you, such as the email address you are writing from or a phone number.

If something is missing, we will still start looking and will write back to ask. We won't ignore a request because it is incomplete.

3. What We Do and When

  1. Within 48 hours of receiving a valid request, we remove the content or make it unavailable.
  2. We make reasonable efforts to find and remove identical copies of the same image elsewhere on Arship.
  3. We may suspend or close the account that posted it, and we keep a record of the request.
  4. We write back to tell you what we did. We do not share your name or your request with the person who posted the content unless the law requires it.

Content on Arship is visible only to members of the team where it was posted, but we treat every request the same way however many people could see it.

4. Good-Faith Requests

This process is for intimate images of real people shared without consent. Please don't use it for other complaints. For copyright, see our DMCA Copyright Policy. For other privacy or safety concerns, email support@arship.app.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the email we sent you and explain why. We will review it.
