You have rights over the personal information Arship holds about you. This page explains what those rights are and how to exercise them. For the full description of what we collect and why, please see our Privacy Policy.
Many requests are faster to handle in the app. Account deletion and a downloadable export of your data are available directly from Settings inside the Arship application — no email required. The email path on this page is for everything else, or for users who cannot access the app.
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Adults can use the in-app "Export My Data" feature in Settings for a near-instant copy. For information not included in the in-app export (for example, audit records associated with your account), request it by email and we'll provide it within 30 days.
You can correct most account information (display name, profile photo, etc.) directly in the app. For corrections to information we have not made user-editable, email us with the change you'd like to make.
Deleting your account from Settings → Delete Account removes your personally identifying information from the Service. A small audit record (containing only hashed identifiers, not personal information) is retained per our Retention schedule. To request deletion of a specific item without deleting the account, email us.
Use Settings → Export My Data in-app. The export is a structured JSON file you can download or share. It includes your user profile, team memberships, your recordings (as download links), your messages, and your notification records.
You may ask us to restrict certain processing of your information, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email us a description of what processing you'd like to restrict or object to.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time. For child accounts, the supervising parent can revoke consent in Parent Controls. For push notifications, revoke the OS-level notification permission or disable specific categories in Settings.
California residents have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We do not offer different pricing or service tiers based on whether you exercise your privacy rights.
If you believe we are processing your information unlawfully, you have the right to complain to your local data-protection supervisory authority. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU, see your member-state's data protection authority. We'd prefer to address the issue with you first, so please consider contacting us before lodging a complaint.
For most requests, simply email support@arship.app with:
To protect your information, we need to verify that you are who you say you are before processing certain requests (especially access, correction, and deletion). For Arship, verification typically consists of:
For requests involving sensitive personal information or for deletion requests, we may ask for one additional confirmation step.
California residents may use an authorized agent to make requests on their behalf. We will require either (a) written authorization signed by you that grants the agent permission to act, or (b) a power of attorney. We may also contact you directly to verify the agent's authority.
If you are a parent or legal guardian making a request on behalf of a child under 13 who has an Arship account, use Parent Controls in the app for the most direct path, or email us with the parent's verified email address and the child's account information. See our Parent Direct Notice for the full description of rights and procedures specific to child accounts.
We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete most requests within 30 days. Where the law permits a longer period (such as the 45-day window under CCPA), we will inform you in writing and explain the reason. If we cannot fulfill a request (for example, because we cannot verify your identity or because the request conflicts with a legal obligation), we will tell you why.
We do not charge a fee to process most requests. If a request is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive (as permitted under GDPR Article 12), we may either charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on the request. If we do either, we will tell you why.
