Delete Your Account
You can delete your Arship account at any time. When you do, we remove your personal data from our systems. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what to expect.
How to Delete Your Account
From within the Arship app (recommended)
- Open Arship on your device.
- Tap your profile icon, then tap Settings.
- Scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
Once confirmed, the deletion process begins immediately.
By email
If you can't access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us from the email address associated with your account.

What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, email, date of birth, profile picture)
- Your authentication credentials
- Your voice recordings and audio files
- Songs, setlists, sections, and notes you created
- Your team memberships
- Your chat messages and message attachments
- Your uploaded documents and music sheets
- Your notifications and read status records
- Any personal preferences, settings, and reminders tied to your account
After deletion is complete, your identifier is removed from all shared content across the platform. Your content in shared team spaces either follows you out or is anonymized so that no personal data remains linked to your account.
What Happens to Shared Team Content
Arship is built around teams. Some of the content you create lives in shared team spaces — for example, a song you added to a team library, or a setlist a team still uses for Sunday service.
When you delete your account, shared team content is handled as follows:
- Content only you can see (your personal recordings, private notes) is permanently deleted.
- Content in a team library (songs, setlists, chord charts you added to a team) remains available to the team, but all personal identifiers linking it to you are removed. Your name no longer appears as the creator.
- Messages you sent in team chats are removed from the chat history.
- Recordings you contributed to team arrangements are deleted, which may affect the completeness of those arrangements. Your team admin can re-record or reassign those parts.
If you want specific team content deleted rather than anonymized, email support@arship.app with your request. We'll work with the team admin where appropriate.
Timeline
- Immediate: Your account is marked for deletion, and you are signed out of all devices.
- Within 30 days: Your personal data is removed from our active systems.
- Within 90 days after that: Your data is permanently removed from encrypted backups.
During the 30-day window, your account cannot be recovered.
What We Keep and Why
In some cases, we may retain limited information after account deletion:
- Legal obligations. If we are required by law to keep certain records (for example, tax or compliance records), we retain only what is legally required.
- Fraud and abuse prevention. We may retain minimal records of accounts that were terminated for violations of our Terms of Service, to prevent repeat violations.
- Anonymized analytics. Aggregate, non-identifying usage data may be retained to help us improve the Service. This data cannot be linked back to you.
We never sell or share your personal data with third parties, before or after deletion.
