Privacy Policy
Arship LLC ("Arship," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Who We Are
Arship LLC is a Michigan limited liability company. We operate the Arship mobile application and the website at arship.app.
If you have questions about this Policy or about how we handle your data, you can reach us at support@arship.app.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use Arship:
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, and authentication credentials (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In).
Audio Recordings. Voice recordings you create within the app are stored securely in the cloud so you can share them with your worship team. Recordings are only visible to team members you have invited or who share a team with you.
Team Data. Information about teams you create or join, including team names, member lists, role assignments, and team settings.
Song and Setlist Data. Songs, setlists, sections, chord charts, notes, and practice-related content you create within the app.
Chat and Messages. Direct messages and team channel messages you send within the app, including any attachments.
Waitlist Information. If you sign up for the Arship Founders' Circle on our website, we collect your name, email address, role, and church or team name. This information is used only to contact you about the Arship launch and early access.
Usage and Device Information. We may collect limited information about how you use the Service and the device you use, including device model, operating system version, and crash logs. This information helps us maintain and improve the app.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Enable collaboration between you and your team members
- Sync your data across your devices
- Send you service-related notifications, such as reminders for upcoming setlists (only if you enable them)
- Respond to support requests you send to us
- Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Communicate with you about updates or changes to the Service
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use your voice recordings or song content to train artificial intelligence models.
How We Share Your Information
With your team. Content you create within a team — including recordings, songs, setlists, and messages — is shared with the members of that team. You control what teams you join and what content you upload.
With service providers (sub-processors). We rely on trusted third-party services to operate Arship. These include:
- Google Firebase — for authentication, database storage, and cloud file storage
- Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In — for account authentication
- Web3Forms — for processing waitlist submissions from our website
These providers only process your data on our behalf and under contractual obligations that protect your privacy.
When legally required. We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Arship, our users, or the public.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Ever.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which employs industry-standard encryption both in transit (TLS) and at rest. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
However, no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information you transmit to us.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Some information may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 additional days before being permanently deleted.
We may retain limited information longer if required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — View all data associated with your account from within the app.
- Correct — Update or correct your personal information at any time in the app settings.
- Delete — Delete your account and all associated data from within the app settings, or by visiting arship.app/delete-account.
- Leave Teams — Remove yourself from any team at any time.
- Export — Request a copy of your data by emailing support@arship.app.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (including rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws), you may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@arship.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
Arship is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
In a future update, Arship will support accounts for children under 13 when created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Until that feature is released, accounts must be 13+.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, contact us immediately at support@arship.app and we will delete the account and associated data.
International Users
Arship is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using Arship, you consent to this transfer.
Security Incidents
If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, without undue delay.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, by sending a notice through the app or by email.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any disputes arising from it are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
